Yuryan schoolchildren felt a living connection between generations
The Konev — Marshal of Victory project, initiated by State Duma Deputy Oleg Valenchuk, successfully continues its important mission of fostering patriotism and preserving the historical memory of our great countryman– commander Ivan Stepanovich Konev.
This project, which goes far beyond the usual educational programs, has no time limits, and is especially relevant today, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, in the year of Defender of the Fatherland, announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
It should be recalled that within the framework of the DDT Inspiration project, a School for young Guides was organized, in which 25 boys and girls were trained. During 2024, they conducted 152 excursions, which were attended by more than 3,000 peers.
A new phase of the project was launched in February 2025. On March 9, the guys from the military-patriotic club "Melitopolets" ON Pervomaisky came to Kirov together with the school principal, the head of the club and teachers. The students listened attentively to the story of the young guide Mikhail Lavrov, immersing themselves in the heroic pages of the biography of an outstanding countryman.
The Konev — Marshal of Victory project is not limited to excursions. This year, the Konev Museum has become a center for patriotic events, celebrations and creative meetings. Workshops, thematic exhibitions, and meetings with veterans are held here.
"All these events allow the younger generation not only to learn the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War, but also to feel the full significance of the Great Victory for the modern world," said State Duma Deputy Oleg Valenchuk. – Today, when our countrymen honorably and valiantly perform their military duty in their own country, it is especially important to preserve the memory of the courage and heroism of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who defended the world from the fascist plague.
