
Kirov region increases lumber exports to India
In the first months of 2025, the Kirov Region made a breakthrough in the Indian lumber market. According to the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and the Perm Territory, 635.2 cubic meters of softwood lumber were exported to India from January 1 to March 11, 2025. It is worth noting that there were no deliveries to India in the same period of 2024.
Special attention is paid to the quality and safety of exported products. So, on March 7, 2025, the shipment of 302 cubic meters of lumber was monitored. All products have passed strict control by the staff of the Rosselkhoznadzor Department and specialists of the Kirov branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIKR".
Laboratory tests conducted by the Kirov branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIKR" did not reveal the presence of quarantine pests. Based on positive conclusions about the quarantine phytosanitary status, 10 phytosanitary certificates were issued for the entire batch of products.
