The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a terrorism case due to a massive drone attack on Moscow.
On the night of March 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out the largest attack on Russia with the help of drones since the beginning of its military operation. "On the eve of the US-Ukrainian talks, the Kiev regime, in order to demonstrate Ukraine's ability to continue hostilities, launched a massive strike on Russian civilian infrastructure using unmanned aerial vehicles. By the professional actions of air defense combat crews and electronic warfare systems, the aim of the Kiev regime's strike was thwarted. 343 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and shot down, including six Ukrainian attack drones intercepted near the Kursk nuclear power plant. As a result of the impact on residential and economic infrastructure, crushed and fragments of downed Ukrainian UAVs have killed and injured civilians," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
On the fact of a massive drone attack, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (terrorist act). The Investigative Committee of Russia reported that work is underway to establish all the details of the terrorist attack, including determining the exact launch sites of unmanned aerial vehicles from the territory of Ukraine and the persons involved.
According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, three people were killed and 17 injured, including children, as a result of the massive drone attack.
