The Kirov team has a tradition of choosing the best player of the month. This time, midfielder Nikita Mostovoy is in third place, having played 25 games in a season and scored three goals. In second place is Oleg Pivovarov, who played 24 matches and scored in five. The fan favorite who took first place in the voting was Egor Zalesov, the goalkeeper of the team, for whom this award was the second in a row.
Egor shared his opinion about this with us: "I can't call myself the best player in the team. All the guys are making a big contribution, and only because of this are we slowly starting to achieve some, maybe small, but results compared to previous seasons, and this strongly motivates us to grow, go further and climb the table.
" "The season turned out to be mixed, there were very good matches, and frankly failed. We will definitely draw some conclusions, work on the mistakes, and come back even stronger. In general, I can say that it was interesting. I'm not going to evaluate my game. I just love playing hockey and I try to do it with full dedication, and I think the coaches should evaluate whether it's good or bad," the hockey player said last season.
