The 26th Vyatka Sports Stars festival took place in Kirov, which once again brought together the brightest representatives of the region's sports community. This event, which has become a good tradition, was held within the walls of the Kirov Drama Theater and gathered many honored guests, among whom were heads of the region, representatives of sports federations, coaches and veterans of sports.
The festival honored the best athletes who made the Kirov region famous for their achievements in 2024. Among the awardees were famous judoka – Master of sports Anton Suzev from Sovetsk, master of sports Abram Zhukov from Vyatka Polyany and Emin Huseynov from Slobodsky. These young guys have demonstrated excellent results in their disciplines.
Awards were also given to coaches who played a key role in the preparation of athletes. Honored Coach of Russia Igor Glubokovsky, coach of the highest category Yuri Panagushin and Sabir Ilyasov were recognized for their work and dedication.
The award in the nomination "The best athlete of the Kirov region" is not just a formality, but the result of serious work and perseverance shown by athletes in training and competitions. Oleg Valenchuk, President of the Kirov Region Judo Federation, State Duma deputy, congratulated the athletes and their coaches on the high award, noting the importance of their contribution to the development of sports in the region.
