Chepchanin beat his 6-year-old son with a belt and a charger wire

      In the period from January to February of this year, a 38-year-old resident of Kirovo-Chepetsk systematically beat his 6-year-old son out of personal hostility. He struck the child with his hands, a belt, a wire from a mobile phone charger, and also grabbed him by the hair.

      The man was detained by the investigator of the Investigative Committee. A criminal case was opened against him under paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code (torture). The investigation intends to petition the court for the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the defendant. At the moment, investigative and other procedural actions are underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The causes and conditions that contributed to the commission of the crime will soon be established, as well as a legal assessment of the living conditions and upbringing of the child.
