In the Kirov region, more than 2,000 kilometers of roads will be painted for Knowledge Day.

      In the Kirov region, the second phase of work on updating horizontal road markings continues. As reported by the regional transport ministry, the contractor — JSC "Vyatavtodor" — has already brought the axis and edge lines on 1.2 thousand km of roads up to standard. In total, specialists are set to process over 2.4 thousand km of regional and intermunicipal roads.

      At the same time, noise strips are being installed at accident-prone areas. To date, this indicator has been completed at 40% of the planned amount.

      A special emphasis in the schedule is placed on the safety of children. By Knowledge Day, road workers will update pedestrian crossings near 21 educational institutions located along regional roads. In these areas, warning markings "Children" will be applied, the speed limit of 20 km/h will be duplicated on the asphalt, and markings on artificial irregularities will be updated.

      The work covers key directions of the region. The plan includes the following roads: Kirov – Malmyzh – Vyatskiye Polyany, Kirov – Strizhi – Orichi, Kirov – Sovetsk – Yaran, Zuevka – Bogorodskoye – Kurchany, Southern bypass of the city of Kirov, Adyshevo – Nizhneivkino, Kazan – Perm, access to the city of Vyatskiye Polyany, access to the village of Ryabovo, as well as the road from Falyonki to Uni.
