The autumn holidays for Kirov schoolchildren will be longer than the winter ones.
The new school year will begin on September 1, 2026, and will end on May 26, 2027. The autumn break is scheduled from October 26 to November 3. However, taking into account the preceding weekend (October 24-25) and the public holiday on November 4 (National Unity Day), the total duration of the break for students on a five-day schedule will be 12 days. The winter break will last for 11 days — from December 31, 2026, to January 10, 2027. The spring break will take place from March 27 to April 4, 2027. The summer break will start on May 27, 2027. Additional holidays for first-graders are provided from February 15 to February 21, 2027. It should be noted that the recommendations from the Ministry of Education are advisory in nature. Schools have the right to adapt this schedule to their needs, taking into account regional features and the opinions of parents. The final decision on the dates of the breaks is made by the administration of each specific school.
