Kirov hunters have been allowed to reapply for permits for moose, bear, and wild boar.
The changes are related to federal regulations that came into effect on September 1, 2025. Now, the validity period of a permit for hunting moose, bear, or wild boar cannot exceed 30 days. It is not possible to extend the document for a new term.
To allow hunters to exercise their right to hunt animals throughout the entire hunting season, starting in 2026, a mechanism for re-obtaining permits has been introduced in the publicly accessible hunting grounds of the Kirov region.
A hunter who has previously obtained a permit through the allocation process but did not harvest or injure an animal will be able to obtain a new document. It is important not to miss the established deadline. An application for a new permit must be submitted within 10 calendar days after the expiration of the previous document.
Before this, the hunter must submit to the ministry the section "Information on Harvesting." He must confirm that the animal under the previous permit was not harvested.
If the hunter does not apply for a new permit within 10 days, he will lose the right to re-obtain it. In this case, it will go to the next applicant from the list formed by random selection.
The ministry urged hunters to carefully monitor the validity periods of permits and to comply with the established procedure for document processing.
