Sidewalks worth 2 million in Darovsky "lasted" less than a month.

      "The paving has collapsed, and no one intends to clean up the construction debris – around are ruins and piles of stones, and there’s no thought of leveling the roadside from the road – everything is being washed away by rainwater directly onto the new sidewalks," says Yulia Khudayeva.

      Even at the stage of laying the sidewalks, residents asked for increased control over the quality of work, stating that the laying technology was not being followed, and the estimate was compiled in violation of the requirements of regulatory documents.

      At the last two meetings with the administration, the deputy from the Fair Russia party raised the issue of the impossibility of signing the acceptance act for the arrangement of the pedestrian zone. However, officials assured that everything had already been corrected, and the acts had been signed. Less than a month passed, and problems emerged.

      "We spent about 2 million rubles, turned a blind eye to all obvious violations – and accepted the work! What is this called? Carelessness, irresponsibility, and budget waste," says the deputy.

      The deputy notes that the program under which the sidewalks were made (the Local Initiatives Support Program) is wonderful – it provides an opportunity for the improvement of public spaces in municipalities. But strict control over the quality of work is necessary, and most importantly – a principled position during their acceptance.

      "We expect corrections and order to be restored in this area before involving the prosecutor's office, not more reports and promises!" – stated Yulia Khudayeva.
