According to the Telegram channel "Amateur Meteorology in Kirov," on Friday, August 7, the Kirov region remains at risk of dangerous weather phenomena. In certain areas of the Volga Federal District, squalls with wind gusts of up to 20–23 m/s are expected, as well as possible hail with a diameter of up to 3 cm.
According to observations, a cluster of thunderstorm clouds is approaching the region from the Nizhny Novgorod region. In the coming hours, thunderstorms may move into the west and southwest of the Kirov region.
Meteorologists note that throughout the day, there is a likelihood of squalls forming and large hail falling. Additionally, local thunderstorm hotspots have already begun to appear — one was recorded in the Orichi area.
