Boris Vesnin discussed the development issues of Orlov with the residents.

The first item on the agenda was the Oryol Central District Hospital. Together with the chief physician and the staff of the institution, Boris Vesnin discussed the prospects for the development of healthcare in the area. In recent years, a major renovation has been carried out in the treatment building of the Central District Hospital; however, the staffing issue remains one of the most pressing. Possible measures to attract and retain medical specialists in the area were discussed at the meeting.

Next, Boris Vesnin visited the Oryol Special Educational Institution of a Closed Type. During a conversation with the director, Tatyana Khokhlova, and the teachers, the current work of the institution and additional support measures— including at the federal level—were discussed, which would help graduates avoid returning to unlawful behavior.

At the meeting, the residents of Oryol drew Boris Vesnin's attention to the need for a major renovation of School No. 1. After the discussion, Vesnin inspected the building, which was constructed almost 120 years ago according to the design of architect Ivan Charushin. During the Great Patriotic War, the school housed an evacuation hospital. Today, the memory of those events is carefully preserved: memorial plaques with the names of the soldiers have been installed in the institution.

"The school building is not just an educational institution, but a true monument to history that must be preserved. Our team has managed to attract extrabudgetary funds for the development of project and estimate documentation for the major renovation of the building. The project is currently undergoing state expertise," noted Boris Vesnin.
