The authorities of the Kirov region will notify residents about missile danger via SMS.
The Governor of the Kirov Region, Alexander Sokolov, reported on his Telegram channel about the adoption of new measures to notify residents of the region in case of missile danger or threats of drone attacks. He wrote that the enemy has acquired weapons capable of reaching cities and districts of the Kirov Region. In this regard, it has been decided to inform citizens via SMS, as well as through the mobile applications of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and "Emergency Call 112." The governor also instructed to start maximum informing of people about the actions to take in such threats starting tomorrow. Yesterday, July 28, new measures to protect citizens from air attacks were already discussed at a meeting of the operational headquarters. At that time, Sokolov noted that the enemy had begun to act with new methods, so it is necessary to revise the action regulations for terrorist acts, which previously did not anticipate threats from the sky. The topic of informing citizens about emergencies was also raised then. Now a specific notification mechanism has been approved. Today, July 29, we reported that the threat of drone attacks remained in the Kirov Region. At 06:15, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft at the Pobedilovo airport, which lasted for more than three hours. No official information about the cancellation of the threat has been received; residents relied on unofficial Telegram bots and specialized websites.
