In Kirov, 270 pit bike riders were held accountable.

      At the meeting of the Duma commission, a representative of the State Traffic Inspectorate reported on the situation with pit bikes. According to him, during the past period of 2026, more than 270 drivers in Kirov have been brought to administrative responsibility. This is 30 more than last year. The number of underage drivers who received administrative penalties increased from 60 to 84 over the year.

      Most of the traffic accidents involving motor vehicles occur within the city limits. In 2026, 50 such accidents were registered in the city, and 10 outside of it.

      This year, traffic police conducted 12 raids to identify violators behind the wheel of pit bikes. The most complaints about them come from Komintern, Poroshino, Ganino, and Chistyye Prudy. People mainly complain about the noise.

      The speaker added that the problem primarily lies in the fact that pit bikes are very easy to purchase, and no special documents are required for this. He expressed the opinion that the authorities should introduce control over this activity and also spread information about the dangers of riding pit bikes.
