Voters will be monitored and recorded around the clock.
Today, July 9, the first meeting of the public election monitoring headquarters in the Kirov region took place. On September 18, 19, and 20, residents of the region will have to elect deputies to the State Duma of the ninth convocation, deputies to the Legislative Assembly of the eighth convocation, as well as participate in municipal elections. According to the chairwoman of the election commission, Galina Burkova, the voting process will be monitored around the clock - in the premises of 434 precinct and 50 territorial commissions. For this purpose, video cameras will be used to broadcast images to a single portal. At other polling stations, video recording of "main electoral procedures" will be organized. Burkova did not specify which ones. In addition, specially trained individuals will assist the regional election commission. This refers to observers. According to a release from the regional government, "for several years, the Public Chamber has been selecting, training, and sending its representatives to polling stations. This year, more than 2,300 public observers will monitor the voting process in the Kirov region. By the end of August, all of them will undergo mandatory training." What the observers will be trained in is not disclosed. We dare to assume that, in the context of the fuel crisis that the region is facing, the queues at polling stations will be no less than those currently at gas stations. Car owners (and not only them) will surely want to tell the regional authorities what they think of them.
