The average salary in the Kirov region exceeded 70 thousand rubles.

      The average nominal accrued salary of employees in organizations of the Kirov region (excluding small business entities) for January - April 2026 amounted to 70,611 rubles. This data was published in the report of Kirovstat on the socio-economic situation in the region. Compared to the same period last year, the salary increased by 11.7%.

      The highest-paid remain workers in the production of finished metal products, where the average salary amounted to 109,500 rubles. Employees in the production of chemical substances and chemical products earn slightly less — 108,900 rubles, as well as those in enterprises producing computers, electronics, and optical products — 106,500 rubles. The top five also included the production of electrical equipment (106,100 rubles) and the metallurgical industry (93,200 rubles).

      Salaries of employees in financial and insurance activities (95,800 rubles), repair and installation of machines and equipment (101,500 rubles), production of pharmaceuticals (93,700 rubles), as well as the transport sector (84,000 rubles) were above the regional average level.

      At the same time, the lowest average salaries were recorded in a number of service sectors. Thus, hotel employees earned an average of 52,000 rubles, catering workers — 52,100 rubles, administrative activities — 51,100 rubles, and other services — 54,900 rubles. The average salary in education amounted to 55,800 rubles, in healthcare and social services — 61,200 rubles, in culture and sports — 63,100 rubles.

      Among the manufacturing sectors, the most noticeable salary growth over the year was shown by the production of textile products — an increase of 31.5%. The incomes of workers in the production of medicines (24.9%) and repair of machines and equipment (20.7%) also significantly increased.
