Amateur meteorologists promise heat in Europe and rain in Russia.

      The channel "Amateur Meteorology in Kirov" has published a fresh forecast for August-October 2026. The authors refer to the German meteorological service and data from the global climate model GCFS.

      According to the forecast, Europe will continue to experience abnormally hot weather. In the center and east, the average temperature may exceed the norm by two degrees or more. Meanwhile, the weather in Russia will not be as pleasant. For instance, the Southern Urals will be at the center of a cold anomaly. In the European part of the country, St. Petersburg is expected to have an average temperature one degree above normal, while in Moscow it will be 0.5-1 degree above normal.

      As for precipitation, it will be distributed unevenly. Meteorologists promise a deficit of precipitation in St. Petersburg and in general in the northwest of Russia, and an excess over a vast territory from the Volga region to Western Siberia.
