According to the press service of "Max," as of early July, 5.3 million people are using the mobile web version of the service on iPhone. Users are offered to open the messenger's website in the Safari browser, add it to the home screen of their smartphone, log in, and allow push notifications. After that, notifications start coming again, and when clicked, the installed app or the web version of the service opens.
A similar instruction has appeared for "VKontakte." As users from Kirov noted about a week ago, the social network also suggests adding the mobile version of the site to the "Home" screen via Safari and enabling push notifications in the web app settings. After that, notifications about new messages and events start coming to the device again.
Let us remind you that such solutions have become particularly relevant after the restrictions related to Russian service applications in the App Store. The "Max" messenger disappeared in early June, while "VKontakte" was removed on the 25th of the first summer month.
