Fraudsters have come up with a new scam scheme involving "notifications" about drone attacks.

      Cybercriminals have begun using a new scam scheme related to fake drone attack alert services. Users are lured to such websites, where they are offered to subscribe to notifications about potential dangers.

      Links to such resources are spread through messaging app channels, neighborhood and building chats, as well as in comments on posts in popular communities. Fake websites may be named, for example, "Radar RF - Public Alert System" or "Your Alarm." They are often designed in red tones with numerous warnings about threats and dangers.

      To subscribe to the "notifications," visitors are asked to enter a six-digit code. After some time, the person receives a message about the hacking of their personal account on one of the government services. The notification also provides a number for a "dedicated support line."

      If the user calls this number, they reach scammers who pose as support service employees. The criminals can then use various scenarios: accusing the victim of financing terrorist activities or the Armed Forces of Ukraine, convincing them to urgently transfer money to a "safe account," "declare" their savings, or comply with other demands, up to coercing them into committing crimes.
