The eco-center celebrated Youth Day.
On June 27, as part of Youth Day, dozens of public organizations, volunteers, and hundreds of young people from Kirov gathered on pedestrian Spasskaya Street. The Kirov Eco Center also joined the celebration, demonstrating that ecological habits can be interesting, modern, and truly engaging.
The highlight of the event was the bike shredder. There were so many people eager to personally turn plastic caps into raw materials for recycling that the line at the installation hardly ever stopped.
At creative workshops, participants discovered a second life for familiar materials, creating unusual accessories and decor elements from "secondary" materials. Fans of intellectual challenges were able to test their knowledge in ecological quizzes dedicated to waste separation and recycling of secondary raw materials. The most active participants received commemorative badges saying "I separate."
"It is always nice to see that young people are genuinely interested in ecological issues and are ready to participate in positive changes. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our area and shared this celebration with us," noted the chairwoman of the Kirov regional branch of the "Ecosystem" movement and deputy head of the Eco Center, Alexandra Sherstkova.
Youth Day once again showed that the ecological agenda is becoming part of the lifestyle of the new generation, and caring for nature unites people with the most diverse interests.
