An optical salon in Kirovo-Chepetsk was required to install a call button for people with limited mobility.
In Kirovo-Chepetsk, an optical salon ensured accessibility for people with limited mobility after the intervention of bailiffs. As reported by the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service, after a citizen's appeal, the prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit. The court ordered the organization to equip the entrance group in accordance with the requirements of legislation on accessible environments.
After the enforcement proceedings were initiated, the bailiff met with the management of the salon and explained the procedure for executing the court decision, as well as warned of possible administrative and criminal liability in case of non-compliance.
During the execution of the requirements, a technical examination of the building was conducted. Specialists concluded that it was impossible to install a stationary ramp since the salon is located on the second floor, and major renovations on the first floor are not the responsibility of the tenant.
As a result, the organization's management found another solution. A call button for staff was installed in front of the building entrance. Now, visitors with limited mobility can contact the salon staff, who will provide the necessary assistance.
As a result, the court's requirements were voluntarily fulfilled, without the application of enforcement measures. As noted by the bailiffs, this allowed for the provision of services to people with disabilities.
