Diesel may be banned: authorities are considering new restrictions on exports.
As Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, the situation in the fuel market is being monitored daily in collaboration with oil companies and relevant agencies. The export of gasoline and aviation kerosene has already been completely banned, and now it may be diesel's turn.
Since June 1, a temporary ban on the export of aviation kerosene has been introduced — it will last until the end of November. Exceptions have been made for fuel in aircraft tanks, as well as for batches arranged before the restrictions came into effect, and for supplies under intergovernmental agreements.
In addition, since the beginning of April, there has been a ban on the export of gasoline for oil refiners. The restriction will be lifted at the end of July. Its goal is to saturate the domestic market amid seasonal consumption growth, fieldwork, and high global oil prices, reports Vedomosti.
