The shore of the Kirsinskoye Reservoir will be returned to the state through the court.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Kirov Region has summarized the results of the document check on one of the land plots in the city of Kirs. The site is located within the boundaries of the shoreline of the Middle Kirsinskoye Reservoir — an area that, according to the norms of the Water and Land Codes, cannot be transferred into private ownership.
Nevertheless, the inspectors found that the plot, which exceeds 250 square meters, had been registered to a private individual. The prosecutor's office considered this a direct violation of the law, as such actions restrict the rights of an indefinite number of individuals to freely access the water body.
To restore legality, the supervisory authority filed a lawsuit demanding the land be seized from illegal possession and returned to federal ownership. The court recognized the prosecutor's arguments as valid and granted the claim. The court's decision is now under the agency's control — its execution will be monitored until the complete legal and factual transfer of the plot to the state.
