The prosecutor's office achieved the repayment of a half-million debt in wages in Kirovo-Chepetsk.
The Kirovo-Chepetsk City Prosecutor's Office has completed an inspection of labor law compliance at a local individual entrepreneur whose activities are related to the installation of industrial equipment. During the supervisory activities, it was recorded that from January to March 2026, the entrepreneur accumulated a debt to four employees. The total amount of the debt exceeded 440,000 rubles.
To restore the employees' rights, the prosecutor's office implemented a set of measures. The employer was issued a proposal to eliminate the violations, and simultaneously, a case was initiated under part 6 of article 5.27 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for the untimely payment of wages.
This was sufficient: the debt to the staff has been fully repaid. However, the supervisory authority continues to monitor the situation. Two issues remain under control — the final decision on the administrative proceedings and the entrepreneur's compliance with the requirements of article 236 of the Labor Code, which obliges the employer to pay employees interest for each day of delay.
