The most expensive popular used cars to maintain in Russia have been named.

      Analysts from the FIT SERVICE network of auto services and the Auto.ru platform studied how the cost of servicing and the frequency of visits to service centers have changed for the most popular used cars. The study included ten in-demand models: Kia Rio, Hyundai Solaris, Lada Granta, Lada Vesta, Lada 2114, Ford Focus, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Camry, BMW 5 Series, and Volkswagen Tiguan.

      According to the research, the average age of these cars has increased to 11 years, and the mileage has exceeded 162 thousand kilometers. Against this backdrop, owners are increasingly turning to auto services.

      The most noticeable increase in the number of visits was recorded for Lada Vesta (+11%), Lada Granta (+9%), and Volkswagen Tiguan (+7%). At the same time, older models like Lada 2114 have become less frequent in service centers — the number of visits has decreased by 26%.

      The cost of repairs for Toyota Camry has increased the most over the year. The average bill rose by 30% — from 9.7 thousand to 12.6 thousand rubles. Next are Lada 2114 (+25%) and Lada Granta (+23%).

      Mass-market foreign cars also show a rise in prices. For instance, servicing Kia Rio has become 16% more expensive, while Hyundai Solaris has increased by 9%. The only model for which the average bill decreased was the BMW 5 Series. Despite this, it remains one of the most expensive to service.

      Experts link the rise in costs to the fact that the vehicle fleet in Russia continues to age: cars increasingly require not just regular maintenance but serious repairs.
