Kirov residents have started to travel to Moscow by train more often.
From January to May, 125.7 thousand people traveled by long-distance trains from Kirov to the capital. This data is provided by the press service of GZhD.
Currently, there are 16 direct and passing trains connecting Kirov and Moscow. The increase in passenger traffic indicates that the railway connection between the cities remains in demand.
Positive dynamics are also noted in other regions. For instance, 585.4 thousand passengers traveled from Nizhny Novgorod to Moscow in five months — this is 5.7% more than the previous year. From Izhevsk, 57.2 thousand people took the train to the capital, which is 6.6% higher than last year's level. Meanwhile, passenger traffic from Kazan to Moscow remained virtually at last year's level — 288 thousand people.
