Rosstandart has published a GOST with requirements for cleaning premises.
Rosstandart has adopted a GOST standard that establishes recommendations for cleaning in premises. According to the electronic database of the agency, the document contains guidelines for the structure of the operation of facilities where cleanliness standards must be observed, reports the publication "RIA Novosti."
The standard lists the main elements that such a structure should include: working with personnel, the procedure for entering and exiting clean rooms, cleaning procedures, technical maintenance, and monitoring the condition of the facilities.
According to the text of the document, cleaning is divided into several stages, including surface cleaning inside the building, treatment of critical areas, and equipment. Specific points of the GOST address the preparation of cleaning solutions: before starting work, personnel are required to check their compatibility with the surfaces being treated, as well as to adhere to the required concentration and expiration dates of the products. The document also mentions that when conducting cleaning, the speed of work execution must be taken into account.
The GOST clarifies technical nuances: dry vacuum cleaning is allowed only in areas inaccessible to mops. For small work areas, wet or alcohol wipes are permitted. When performing wet cleaning with a mop, it is required to use two or three buckets of water, and the mop itself must be treated with chemicals before use. This type of cleaning, as stated in the document, is carried out in the presence of contamination.
The new GOST comes into effect on July 1 of this year.
