June statistics on the rental of country housing in Russia show that travelers' interest is increasingly less tied to the geographical "capitals" of recreation. The overall growth in demand for houses and cottages in June 2026 was 5% compared to the same period last year. However, behind this modest average figure are local spikes that change the usual picture of domestic tourism.
The strongest dynamics were shown by the Penza region, where the number of bookings for country properties increased by 73%. Following closely is the Kirov region with a result of 55%. The top three is rounded out by the Amur region with a growth of 43%. The top five also includes the Krasnoyarsk Territory (+42%) and Mordovia (+34%), while the list of regions with noticeable growth is concluded by the Kamchatka Territory (+33%).
At the same time, absolute leadership in the number of bookings in the country segment remains with the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, Leningrad region, Karelia, and Crimea.
The difference between urban and country rental formats is becoming increasingly evident this season. Apartments are the prerogative of small companies: on average, three people rent accommodation for four nights, paying 4.5 thousand rubles per day. Within this segment, prices move in different directions: one-bedroom apartments have increased in price by 5% over the year (to 3.9 thousand rubles), while three-bedroom and four-bedroom apartments, on the contrary, have become more affordable — down 3% (to 7.6 thousand and 13.1 thousand rubles, respectively).
Country houses are chosen for different purposes. The average group consists of six people who stay for three days. The cost per night here is almost three times higher — 11.3 thousand rubles on average. The most expensive format is cottages (17.8 thousand rubles per night), while the most budget-friendly is summer houses (6.6 thousand rubles).
Planning times also vary. Country properties are now booked on average 45 days before the trip — a year earlier, this took 41 days. Apartments are reserved 35 days in advance.
In the urban apartment segment, demand is growing fastest in regions that usually do not make it into tourist top lists: Yakutia (+36%), Magadan region (+35%), Amur region (+26%), Khakassia (+25%), and Bryansk region (+14%). Major local events are becoming the drivers of growth in these regions — from a national holiday in Yakutia to a festival in Magadan in honor of the city's birthday.
According to Avito Travel statistics, the lion's share of bookings in the country housing segment is accounted for by houses and cottages — 92%. At the same time, tourists are paying more attention to other formats as well: guest houses and recreation centers are booked twice as often in June as last year. As noted by the commercial director of the platform, this season clearly shows a division of scenarios: apartments are for short urban trips for 2–3 people, while country houses are for large group getaways on weekends.
