The grounds for dismissing employees of law enforcement agencies will be expanded.
The Federation Council approved a law that expands the grounds for the dismissal of employees of law enforcement agencies. The document affects employees of the customs service, fire protection, the Federal Bailiff Service, and the penal enforcement system. An expanded list of situations is introduced for them, under which a one-time payment upon dismissal is not provided.
Among the grounds are the termination of access to state secrets due to violations of the legislation on state secrets. Restrictions also apply to the loss of Russian citizenship or the presence of foreign citizenship, a residence permit, or the right to permanent residence abroad.
Additionally, payments will not be assigned upon obtaining the status of a foreign agent, committing an offense that discredits the honor of the employee, as well as when recognizing an employee on probation as having failed the probation period.
A separate section in the law clarifies the procedure for providing social guarantees to the families of law enforcement officers. Previously, different terms were used — "family members" and "close relatives," which created legal uncertainty and required unification.
The law will come into force ten days after its official publication.
