Who can apply and how much is given
Microgrants are targeted payments for the implementation of one's own idea that benefits society. The maximum amount of support is 300,000 rubles. Funds are allocated through the state information system "Youth of Russia," where applicants upload their projects.
Young people aged 14 to 35 inclusive can participate. Each participant is entitled to submit only one application containing one project. The range of directions is broad: from the improvement of small territories and volunteering to youth tourism, science, and inclusion. There are a total of 18 thematic nominations in the competition.

The application submission ends on July 16, 2026, exactly at 12:00 Moscow time. Experts advise not to postpone filling out documents until the last day — the system may not cope with the load, and errors in the application may lead to rejection.

In 2024, with nearly five thousand applications across the country, 229 projects became winners. From Karelia, three initiatives were approved for a total amount of just over 272,000 rubles. By 2025, the result multiplied: five projects received grants, and the total funding exceeded 1.4 million rubles.
Among the winning projects from Karelia are ideas in the fields of culture, sports, historical education, youth tourism, and inclusive events for people with disabilities.

The organizers of the competition and representatives of grant operators advise future participants to clearly articulate the social significance of the project — for whom it is needed and how it will change people's lives.
Stick to the declared budget, avoiding inflated or unjustified expenses. It’s also good to study successful applications from previous years, which are available in the "Youth of Russia" system. Additionally, do not try to cover everything at once — it is better to work thoroughly on one specific result.
