In the Kirov region, a man was "raising" a child with his fists.

      The investigation established that from July to December 2025, a 30-year-old man from the Malmyzh district systematically inflicted bodily harm on his stepson, using violence as a method of upbringing. The perpetrator admitted his guilt and expressed remorse for his actions. The evidence collected by the Malmyzh inter-district investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Kirov region was deemed sufficient for a verdict. The man was found guilty under paragraph "g" of part 2 of article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (torture of a minor). The court sentenced him to three years of conditional imprisonment with a probation period of two years.
