The branch "KCHHK" has released the environmental report for 2025.

      In 2025, the plant continued the modernization of production capacities and the implementation of investment projects with consideration of environmental aspects. The main directions of the environmental protection activities of the "KCHHK" branch became the improvement of the efficiency of gas cleaning equipment and the elimination of risks of pollutants entering drainage networks in concentrations exceeding control levels. As part of these activities, the reconstruction of acid-resistant floor coatings, trays, and the repair of stormwater communications were carried out.

      The work on the disposal of mercury-containing equipment was completed in accordance with the requirements of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants. The program of industrial environmental monitoring was implemented, and it was confirmed that there were no exceedances of the permissible environmental impact standards.

      Regular activities are held at the enterprise to enhance the environmental competence of personnel, with training in environmental protection involving specialized organizations and the efforts of specialists from the environmental department. Interaction with the scientific community and public organizations in the city and region continues. Specialists from the environmental department of the "KCHHK" branch conducted lessons on environmental literacy in schools in Kirovo-Chepetsk. In 2025, the tree planting campaign "Good Sprout" took place again: the greening of the "Southern" park was completed. The "KCHHK" branch participated in the month of cleaning and landscaping Kirovo-Chepetsk. Last year, the plant again became a partner of the "Clean Games" project — team competitions for collecting and sorting garbage in contaminated areas.

      The environmental report will be submitted to the Legislative Assembly and the Public Chamber of the Kirov region, the city Duma of Kirovo-Chepetsk, the scientific research laboratory of biomonitoring at Vyatka State University, the Council of Veterans of KCHHK, libraries, and educational institutions in the city, where all interested parties will be able to familiarize themselves with it.

      Our priority is the rational use of natural resources, compliance with environmental legislation, and adherence to environmental safety standards. In 2025, the total costs and investments of the enterprise in environmental protection activities amounted to almost 2 billion rubles. In the future, we intend to continue to adhere to the chosen course, improve our environmental practices, and implement new effective technologies.
