A repeat offender from Kirovo-Chepetsk was sent to a penal colony for hitting with a mug and a fist.
The Kirovo-Chepetsk District Court examined a criminal case against a 40-year-old man previously convicted of property crimes. He was found guilty under part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of serious harm to health) and paragraph "b" of part 2 of article 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of minor harm to health). The crimes were committed on April 21 and June 15, 2025. The first incident occurred near house No. 64/1 on Mira Street: the defendant struck his opponent in the head with his fist during an argument. The traumatic brain injury and fracture of the nasal bones were classified as serious harm to health. The second incident took place at the "Fregat" cafe on Lugovaya Street. The man, being in a state of intoxication, quarreled with a woman he had previously known and struck her twice on the head with a glass mug, causing physical pain. The court agreed with the opinion of the state prosecutor and, considering the totality of the actions, imposed a sentence of 3 years of imprisonment. The defendant appealed the verdict, but the appeal was dismissed, and the verdict was upheld. The recidivist will serve his sentence in a strict regime colony — he was escorted there under guard.
