A record holder of the VHL will play for "Olympia".
"Olympia" continues to strengthen its roster. One of the most high-profile acquisitions is Vitaly Kamenev, who signed a contract for one season. The experienced 37-year-old forward is a record holder in the All-Russian Hockey League for the number of matches played, both in the regular season and in the playoffs (934). In addition, he is among the seven hockey players who have played in all 16 seasons of the league's existence.
Kamenev is a three-time holder of the Petrov Cup (the highest award in the VHL). He won these titles as part of the "Toros" club (Neftekamsk). Last season, the player played for HC "Tambov" (11 points in the "goal+assist" system).
Kamenev explained his choice in favor of "Olympia" as follows: "Firstly, the high goals set for the club. Secondly, the good conditions created by the club. Thirdly, out of several options, this one turned out to be the closest to home — this is important for me."
Another newcomer to "Olympia" is forward Dmitry Arzhanov, who played for "Molot" (Perm) for the last three seasons.
