22% of Kirov companies retain pensioner employees
Every fifth company in the city tries to retain such employees, and 38% are ready to hire retirees on par with other candidates. Another 37% of employers stated that they hire retirees for specific positions. At the same time, 25% of employers do not consider job seekers of retirement age as candidates.
A high level of loyalty to older job seekers remains in sectors experiencing a labor shortage. In 14% of companies that accept retirees, they are considered for any positions if the candidate is an experienced specialist. Another 12% of HR professionals stated that they hire retirees for any positions.
Most often, older employees are hired as skilled workers (13%), engineers (10%), salespeople or sales managers (9%), drivers (9%), doctors (8%), cleaners, and security guards (5% each). Other positions mentioned include teachers, nursing staff, warehouse workers, accountants, and cooks.
At the same time, 22% of companies try to retain employees who have retired. 40% of employers make no effort to retain them.
The practice of corporate pension packages is in place in every fifth company. The most common support measures are payments or gifts for holidays (13%), financial assistance and one-time benefits upon retirement (8% each), vouchers for sanatorium-resort treatment (7%), as well as corporate events (5%).
