The Kirov Transport Prosecutor's Office has approved the indictment in a criminal case investigated by the Kirov Transport Police. The accused is a 19-year-old young man from the Kirov region. He is charged under Part 1 of Article 171.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal organization and conduct of gambling).
The investigation established that in April 2026, the individual organized gambling activities outside the permitted gambling zone. He chose a location in a building located in the square near the Kirov railway station. There, the young man provided visitors access to gaming equipment and launched five terminals through which monetary bets were accepted using the Internet.
The illegal activity was stopped by transport police officers. During the investigative actions, all gaming equipment used was seized. To collect evidence, the storage devices from the terminals were sent for examination.
Currently, the criminal case has been transferred to the magistrate of judicial district No. 79 of the Lenin Judicial District of Kirov. It will now be considered on the merits.
