The Kirov region has fallen in the ranking of socio-economic conditions.
The integral rating of the Kirov region in 2025 was 43.9 points. A year earlier, this figure was slightly higher — 44.39 points.
The study was prepared by specialists from RIA Novosti, who assess the socio-economic situation of the subjects of the Russian Federation. The average value of the integral rating of all regions at the end of the year was 48.849 points, which is 0.095 lower than in 2024.
The leaders of the rating were Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Tatarstan. The top ten also included Sverdlovsk region, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Leningrad region, Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk territories, and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
The bottom ten of the rating included Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Karachay-Cherkessia, the Republic of Altai, the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Kalmykia, Ingushetia, and Tuva.
The number of regions with an integral rating above 50 points by the end of 2025 increased to 38. The number of subjects with a rating below 25 points remained at seven.

As of the end of 2025, the Kirov region ranked 52nd out of 85 in the rating of the socio-economic situation of the regions of Russia. Compared to 2024, the region dropped two positions — at that time, the region was in 50th place.
