The incident occurred on May 30, 2024, on the highway "Kirov Rudnichny Loyno" in the Verkhnekamsky district. A 42-year-old driver of a "Lada Vesta" grossly violated traffic rules and provoked an accident. As a result, the driver of a "Renault Logan" was injured. He was diagnosed with a contusion of the occipital part of the head, rib fractures, and a comminuted fracture of the tibia with displacement of fragments.
To provide qualified medical assistance, the victim was urgently evacuated to the Center for Traumatology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery with the help of air ambulance services. This service is provided under the national project "Healthcare" (direction "Improvement of Emergency Medical Care").
A criminal case was initiated regarding the accident under part 1 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules, resulting in unintentional infliction of serious harm to health"). During the proceedings, the parties reached a reconciliation, and the criminal prosecution was terminated based on article 25 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
However, the issue of reimbursement of budgetary funds spent on paying for the helicopter flight time remained open. The prosecutor of the Lenin district filed a lawsuit in court to recover the incurred expenses — the claims were satisfied. The court's decision was executed, and the amount of compensation was 545,000 rubles.
