On June 8, the bus and trolleybus routes in Kirov will be changed.
The Kirov city administration has warned residents about adjustments to public transport operations that will take effect next Monday, June 8. From 6:00 AM until the column of pilgrims passes key sections of the roads, traffic on several highways will be completely closed.
The following areas will be off-limits to motorists: approaches to the new bridge, Dzerzhinsky Street (up to Luganskaya), all of Luganskaya from the XX Party Congress Square to Lomonosov Street, as well as Moskovskaya Street — from Lomonosov to Kazanskaya.
As traffic will be halted here, some buses will temporarily change their routes, and some will even have their routes shortened.
What will change for passengers:
Routes No. 104, 136, and 146 will take a detour: Mendeleev — Vorovsky — Oktyabrsky Avenue. There, they will return to their usual line. The return trip will follow the same logic.
Bus No. 143 will temporarily have its final stop designated as "Mechta," and it will not go further.
Other bus and trolleybus routes that pass through the mentioned closed streets will completely suspend operations during the procession.
Authorities recommend that Kirov residents plan their trips on June 8 considering these changes and choose alternative means of transportation if their route falls within the restricted area.
Earlier, we reported on which specific streets will be closed in Kirov on June 8 due to the return of the Velikoretsky Cross Procession.
