On June 8, participants of the Velikoretsky Cross Procession will return to Kirov. To ensure their safety, traffic will be temporarily closed on several sections of the city, the press service of Kirov reported.
Main restrictions on June 8:
From 6:00 until the end of the procession, the following sections will be closed:
- the section from the border of the municipal formation "City of Kirov" to the transport interchange and approach to the new bridge over the Vyatka River
- the new bridge over the Vyatka and Dzerzhinsky Street to Luganskaya Street
- Moskovskaya Street (from Vsesvyatskaya to Kazanskaya)
- Albert Likhano's Street (from Kazanskaya to Lesnaya)
- Uspenskaya Street (from Orlovskaya to Albert Likhano's Street).
From 13:00 until the end of the procession, the following will be closed:
- Luganskaya Street (from the XX Party Congress Square to Lomonosov)
- Lomonosov Street (from Luganskaya to Moskovskaya)
- part of Moskovskaya Street (from Lomonosov to Kazanskaya)
- part of Kazanskaya Street (from Moskovskaya to Albert Likhano's Street).
Additional closures:
On June 5 from 15:00 to 21:00 and on June 6 from 05:00 to 08:30 (except for buses with pilgrims), traffic will be closed:
- on Uspenskaya Street (from Krasnoarmeyskaya to Orlovskaya)
- on Orlovskaya Street (from Uspenskaya to Kazanskaya)
Long-term restrictions (from June 2 until 20:00 on June 8):
Traffic, stopping, and parking will be prohibited (except for buses with pilgrims):
- in Dynamo Passage
- in Pioneer Lane
- on Moskovskaya Street (from Kazanskaya to Dynamo Passage).
Stopping and parking of vehicles will also be prohibited in several areas. Drivers are asked to plan their routes in advance considering the closures.
