In the preliminary voting, more than 1300 participants of the special operation took part.
"The United Russia party is guided by the principle that people make all the decisions. Voters have been given every opportunity to determine in advance who will fight for the right to represent their interests in the highest legislative authority. This is our position, and it has stood the test of time. It implies a special responsibility for candidates towards citizens. Such an approach signifies the political maturity of the party and its readiness to work in the interests of millions of people," emphasized the party chairman Dmitry Medvedev.
22,000 applications were submitted for preliminary voting at all levels of elections. 1,300 of them were from participants and veterans of the special military operation (SMO). They were given special attention. 480 fighters of the special operation have gained the trust of voters and are ready to represent their interests.
"This is a good result. And the best proof that people, in general, trust our comrades—those who are veterans, who participated in the SMO. The president has repeatedly spoken about how important it is to help them find themselves in a new life, and governance and public administration are undoubtedly the most important things that can be done in terms of utilizing the strengths of these people," noted Dmitry Medvedev.
The competition for preliminary voting in the State Duma elections was 11.6 people per seat, while in regional elections it was 7 people per seat. The procedure was organized in an electronic format with verification through public services.
The secretary of the regional branch of "United Russia," the governor of the Kirov region Alexander Sokolov explained that 12.5% of the region's voters participated in the preliminary voting, over 123,000 people.
"We paid great attention to the participation of veterans of the special military operation in our campaign. On our list for the State Duma is the legendary marine Vlad Golovin, with the call sign 'Struna.' This has given our party great confidence," said Alexander Sokolov.
Residents of the Kirov region demonstrated their concern and showed high turnout. A total of 346 candidates were announced for preliminary voting in the region: for the State Duma, the regional legislative assembly, and the Kirovo-Chepetsk city Duma.
"The voter feels that the party is not just pursuing populist policies by declaring slogans, but is reporting real deeds and consulting with its supporters about future candidates from the party," emphasized the chairman of the party's Supreme Council Boris Gryzlov.
Residents of all regions of the country wish to participate in the work of the party and are given such an opportunity. Currently, over 1.5 million initiatives from citizens have been submitted to the new People's Program of "United Russia."
