The inspection took place on June 2 at the EcoFair trade complex. As reported by the department, special attention was paid to foreign citizens who received Russian citizenship. According to the legislation, men of conscription age are required to register for military service within two weeks after taking the oath of a citizen of the Russian Federation.
Such interdepartmental raids are conducted across the country. Inspections take place in markets, construction sites, warehouses, and other facilities where former migrants who have received Russian passports work.
As a result of the inspection at EcoFair, no violations were found. Investigative department employees established that individuals who had previously committed violations of migration legislation are registered for military service at the military enlistment offices in Kirov.
The department noted that since the beginning of the year, several dozen people in the Kirov region have been identified who, after obtaining Russian citizenship, did not fulfill their obligation to register for military service. All of them were registered and also held administratively accountable.
