More than 19 thousand schoolchildren from the Kirov region are taking exams.
The main period of the state final certification (GIA) begins on June 1. The first to take the exams will be the graduates of the 11th grade — they will have to take history, literature, and chemistry. The graduates of the 9th grade will start the examination campaign on June 2 with mathematics. This academic year, more than 19 thousand graduates from the 9th and 11th grades will participate. For conducting the exams, 184 points for the basic state exam (OGE) and 78 points for the unified state exam (EGE) will be opened. More than 7,500 specialists will monitor the conduct of the tests. To receive a certificate, 9th-grade students must successfully pass four subjects: Russian language, mathematics, and two elective subjects. An exception is made for children with disabilities and children with health limitations — they can only take the mandatory subjects. Separately, the Ministry of Education reminded the requirements for mathematics. To receive a passing grade on the OGE, a 9th grader needs to score at least eight points, with at least two points obtained from geometry tasks. The maximum score for the subject is 31 points. For 11th graders, Russian language and mathematics remain mandatory. Without successfully passing these exams, obtaining a certificate is not possible. For those who miss the exams for valid reasons or cannot complete the work due to illness, reserve days are provided — from June 22 to July 6. Also, during this period, students who received unsatisfactory results will be able to retake subjects. The deadline for submitting applications for the EGE-2026 has been extended by one day.
