A Kirov resident beat and robbed a woman in the park.
According to the Kirov region's Ministry of Internal Affairs, a resident of Kirov born in 1979 contacted the police. The woman reported that she was resting in a park on Proizvodstvennaya Street when an unknown man approached her. According to the victim, the man hit her, after which he took her mobile phone and fled. The woman estimated the damage at 10,000 rubles.
A criminal case was initiated regarding the incident under part 2 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery committed with the use of violence not dangerous to life and health").
During operational-search activities, police officers identified the suspected criminal and detained him. He turned out to be a man born in 1968.
During the interrogation, the detainee admitted that he had pawned the stolen smartphone and spent the money on personal needs. The police found out where the phone had been pawned and seized it. The investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
