A Kirov resident beat and robbed a woman in a park.
According to the Kirov region's Ministry of Internal Affairs, a resident of Kirov born in 1979 reported to the police. The woman stated that she was resting in a park on Proizvodstvennaya Street when an unknown man approached her. According to the victim, the man hit her, after which he took her mobile phone and fled. The woman estimated her loss at 10,000 rubles.
A criminal case was initiated based on part 2 of article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery committed with the use of violence not dangerous to life and health").
During operational-search activities, police officers identified the suspected criminal and detained him. He turned out to be a man born in 1968.
During the interrogation, the detainee admitted that he had pawned the stolen smartphone and spent the money on personal needs. The police found out where the phone had been pawned and seized it. The investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
