A Kirov resident "mined" a government institution.
According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the message was received on the page of one of the government bodies on social media. An unknown person wrote that the employees of the institution would be in danger the next day.
After that, police and emergency services personnel were dispatched to the scene. Specialists surveyed the area, but no dangerous items were found. The information about a possible threat was not confirmed.
The police identified the author of the message. He turned out to be a resident of Kirov born in 1974.
An investigator from the Investigative Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kirov initiated a criminal case under part 3 of article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — "Knowingly false information about actions creating a danger to the lives of people, aimed at destabilizing the activities of government bodies."
The sanctions of the article provide for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of six to eight years.
