In Kirovo-Chepetsk, the repair of the floating bridge over the Cheptsa has begun.

      The administration of Kirovo-Chepetsk announced the start of repairs on the floating bridge over the Cheptsa River. Residents of the Zarechny microdistrict and gardeners whose plots are located in Karintorf are awaiting the reopening of the crossing.

      At the end of November last year, before the ice formation on the river upstream, ice floes formed. The contractor servicing the crossing did not take timely measures, and the bridge's structures could not withstand the load — one of the ramps was damaged. The municipality filed a lawsuit for reimbursement of expenses.

      Following an inspection and a tender, a new contractor has been selected — a company from the Arkhangelsk region. They have already begun work. After the repairs, seasonal activities (replacement of the decking, installation of barriers) will be carried out, and traffic will be reopened.
