The western bypass is set to be reintroduced into the general plan of Kirov.
At the meeting of the Duma commission, plans for the construction of the western bypass of Kirov were discussed. The administration reported that in 2025, the activities for creating this road as a regional significance object were excluded from the planning scheme and general plan. However, the government believes that such an object should still exist, but not as a regional one, rather as a local significance object.
In April 2026, the issue was discussed at the expert council, and it was also addressed in the working group on the general plan. As a result, the western bypass was decided to be included in the list of planned local significance objects in Kirov's general plan. This project will be presented at the Duma's June meeting.
There is currently no talk about the timeline for the construction of the new road — it is possible that residents will not see it in the coming years. The administration promises to consider the possibility of including the object in state programs after changes are made to the general plan.
