Kirov bus drivers were sent to an obstacle course.
The professional skills competition took place at the base of JSC "KirovPassengerAutotrans." The winners will represent the region at the international competition in St. Petersburg. Participants were evaluated in three categories: among large-class bus drivers — separately for men and women, as well as among medium-class bus drivers. First, the contestants had to complete the theoretical part — answer 20 questions on traffic rules in 10 minutes. Then the practical tests began: drivers performed nine maneuvers with buses, including the "slalom," parallel parking, entering the "garage," driving in circles forward and backward, approaching the stop, and transferring a ring in a relay without stopping the vehicle. The evaluation considered both the speed of completing the distance and the accuracy of performing the exercises. The competitions were held over several days to avoid affecting the operation of city routes. According to the results of the competition, the winners were: among men in large-class buses: 1st place — Mikhail Trina 2nd place — Evgeny Smotrin 3rd place — Vladimir Okatiev. Among women in large-class buses: 1st place — Marina Kovyazina 2nd place — Olga Kazakova 3rd place — Irina Perevyshina. Among medium-class bus drivers: 1st place — Alexander Kirillovykh 2nd place — Yuri Trukhin 3rd place — Andrey Demshin. The winners in the large class — Marina Kovyazina and Mikhail Trina — will head to St. Petersburg this week to participate in the international bus driver competition.
