In Kirov, a crime that occurred in the elevator of an apartment building has been solved. A 46-year-old local resident turned to the police for help. He explained that he was riding in the cabin with a stranger. At some point, the companion pushed the complainant, grabbed a bag from his hands, which contained money and personal belongings, and fled.
Employees of the criminal investigation department conducted the necessary operational-search activities. The suspect was identified and detained on the same day. He turned out to be a 42-year-old resident of Kirov with a prior criminal record. By the time of his arrest, he had already spent the stolen money on personal needs.
An investigator from the Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Kirov has initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery committed with the use of violence not dangerous to life and health"). The suspect has been detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The court is set to choose a measure of restraint for him soon — the investigation intends to petition for his detention.
